Wesley M. Jones

Mr. Jones co-founded Sage Capital in 2004 and is a partner of the firm. He has spent over 20 years in private equity at Sage Capital, preceded by over 20 years in M&A and investment banking on Wall Street, beginning as an associate in mergers & acquisitions at Goldman Sachs and advancing to senior positions at First Boston Corporation (now part of UBS), The Blackstone Group and Bear Stearns & Co. (now part of JP Morgan). Mr. Jones also served as an adjunct professor of finance at the Olin School of Business at Washington University from 2001 to 2005. He currently serves on the boards of Store Supply Warehouse, K. Hall, DIT-MCO, Bulk Tank, Mohawk Lifts, Quest, Livers Bronze and Janet McAfee. He has served on numerous civic and non-profit boards, currently including the Danforth Center, BioSTL, City of Ladue pension funds and Washington University’s Center for Accounting and Finance Research. Mr. Jones graduated from Amherst College with a double major in political philosophy and English, (BA, summa cum laude) and from the University of Pennsylvania Law School (JD, law review).

John W. Lemkemeier

Mr. Lemkemeier co-founded Sage Capital in 2004 and currently services as a senior advisor of the firm and member of the Investment Team. Previously he was president of Contec, Inc., a manufacturer of contamination control products used in cleanrooms and other critical manufacturing environments in the pharmaceutical, electronics, automotive and aerospace industries. Prior to joining Contec, he was a mergers and acquisitions lawyer at Bryan Cave. He currently serves on the boards of Store Supply Warehouse, Bulk Tank, Mohawk Lifts, Quest and Livers Bronze. He is also on the board of directors at the Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital, The Muny (chairman) and the Opportunity Trust. Mr. Lemkemeier is a graduate of Harvard Law School (JD 1992, cum laude) and Princeton University (BA 1989, summa cum laude).

J. Spencer Finney

Mr. Finney joined Sage Capital in 2005 and is a partner of the firm. Previously he worked for The Northern Trust Company, providing retirement plan administration and valuation for large corporations. Mr. Finney currently serves on the board of Bulk Tank, Mohawk Lifts and Quest. He is also on the board of directors at Villa Duschense (former chair) and the Racquet Club of Saint Louis (chair) and is a member of the advisory council of Mission St. Louis. Mr. Finney is a graduate of Washington University (MBA 2005) and the University of Richmond (BA 1999).

D. Michael Hollo, Jr.

Mr. Hollo joined Sage Capital in 2024 and is a partner of the firm. Previously he was a partner at Moneta Group, a privately held registered investment advisor (RIA), where he led the alternative investment practice on behalf of family office clients. Prior to Moneta he was a vice president at Winona Capital, a private equity firm based in Chicago, IL, and an associate at River Branch Holdings, a merchant bank focused on investment banking for financial institutions and asset management for family offices. Mr. Hollo currently serves on the boards of Store Supply Warehouse and Livers Bronze. Mr. Hollo is a graduate of The Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania (MBA 2015) and Princeton University (BSE 2010).

Beth Grote

Ms. Grote joined Sage Capital in 2025 and is the director of finance for the firm. Previously, she worked for AT&T for nearly 30 years. At AT&T, she had roles in corporate, wireless and directory performing various accounting and financial analysis functions. Prior to AT&T she worked at BJC Healthcare and Price Waterhouse Coopers, LLC. Ms. Grote is a CPA and graduate of the University of Missouri (BS, magna cum laude).

Max H. Morrison
